Game running at half speed

I may have found a dev key combo by accident, and now the game is running at half speed. It appears to be tied to my save as restarting the game has no effect. Please send help.

My game also seems to be running very slow, character movement seems very sluggish compared to videos

I have discovered that framerate is linked to gamespeed. 60 fps is normal speed, sometimes the game will dip to exactly 30 fps halfing the game speed. I have no idea what causes this, good luck.

Check Nvidia control panel options, you might have something limiting the game to under 60fps

I have noticed that certain areas in beginning work slower and lowering quality in settings helps but obviously is not ideal.

it fixed it for me when i stop playing on my tv monitor ( that usual runs over 30 fps ) and just played it on my laptop screen

check your windos screen settings some times windows regulates ur screens to 30 fps whitout you knowing

Oh wow, I've just looked at some gameplay videos on YouTube and realised they run wayyyy faster than mine ever did - it looks like a totally different game! Like @Albert, I run my PC on my living room TV via HDMI, but this has never been an issue before?

Can't believe it's 2024 and gamers are *still* having to deal with physics that change depending on frame rate. It's not like this is an unsolved problem, just devs going "eh, I'm sure this'll run just fine on anything" and/or not actually testing it on anything other than their own computer.

At least the physics doesn't change at the lower speeds, and it's funny that a game that has this problem is designed for 60 fps.

i can not believe i spent so many hours playing at half speed. hours lost that ill never get back. solved it with settings on good instead of best.

Hooooly ♥♥♥♥ I finished 80% of the game thinking it was just floaty physics, only to watch a video for something and realize I'd been playing on half speed because of my monitor's refresh rate. Time to relearn all that platforming :/
