EDIT: Oh yeah I'm using wired, so as @Billy said below it is indeed the proper way for native DS4 support.
If you are using USB, or the official PlayStation PC dongle, it should work out of the box.
If you are trying to use regular Bluetooth, you can enable steam input to help the game
recognize it as an xinput device. Using steam input, however, you will not be able to use DS4 specific features, like the lightbar and touchpad. This is a limitation of the PlayStation controller SDK.
Hope, that helps!
Thanks for the reply, I feared as much. Looks like I'll be plugging in my cable. Enjoying the game btw!
Hi! Is this the case also with the PS5 controller as well? Thanks!
In DS4WIndows, edit your profile, and go to the Other tab. For the Controller setting, change it from Xbox 360 to DualShock 4. Now your DS4 will work with this game over bluetooth. No need for Steam Input. This allows you to use the DS4 specific features such as the touchpad.
You can save this profile as a new profile, and set up an auto-profile for DS4Windows to automatically use this profile for Animal Well.
