Unable to light last candle

I have 8 out of 9 candles lit. And I have the 9th match in my inventory. I found the last candle to light but I cannot interact with it. My character just has a ? above its head.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I missing something?

For me I'm missing the middle candle in the skull room near the beginning. Its physical location is in the room below the dog bowl (I think thats what it is?). I'm not sure if these two are linked or if they are random. Is anyone else stuck on this one or a different candle?

I've received the platinum for the game (playing on PS5). So I got the trophy for lighting all the candles but still am not able to light the 9th candle with the match in my inventory. I've ensured that all other candles are lit.
