[Spolers] After defeating an ostritch...

...the boxes stopped moving. And I feel like I'm screwed now with this puzzle:

The boxes blocking the passages to the buttons. Am I missing something to solve it or is it just f-ed now and I should have done it before releasing the ostritch?

same, but i've tried to complete it when the boxes were moving, and i hadn't have success, because once you are in the button "pocket", there is no way out. maybe i'm missing something...

Yeah. There's also this yellow thing on the left. It's gotta be for something.

It can be solved later with another item, if you can dig up some help from something who is missing some of those caged kittens...

Basically, you need the spinning top, which you can use near a large cat statue located near the mouse wheel that moves the areas vertical elevator.

If you can unlock the cats in the cages, this place can reward you with a wheel item which is required for this and some other puzzles.

Getting the cats requires carefully looking throughout that area, up and down, for something musical on the walls; each cat needs its own 5-note tune.

Can I find all the musical combinations for cages without specific items? Because I only found two while trying to scour the ostritch zone for them. I saw multiple spots that probably require to break the wall / floor or something like that, but I don't have a thing to do that yet.

I don't believe you need anything special to find the flute songs, other than the regular set of tools you should have by this point, but I forget, and some of them will need you to recheck areas with chests or puzzles you probably already solved. All the tunes are in that south-eastern corner of the map, I think all accessible from the telephone next to the elevator going up & down

I imagine that none of four main items are used disk, bubble, yoyo, slinky . Are the Top or Flute used for this puzzle? Just a yes or a no suffice. Don't wanna spoil the last item :D

You need the improved bubble wand for at least one of them.

One of the locations you have shown, above the moving platforms and to the right of a shark head, requires me to go through the floor somehow. And I haven't found a thing for that yet. Or at least I haven't figured out how to do that.
The other requires to sqeeze into a 2-tile gap between long vines, and they are breaking bubbles and disk.
So it would appear that I do need some upgrades to ge there.

Edit: Yes, I needed spin top and improved bubble for two of the melodies
