K.Medal stuck on 2/3rds

I’ve gone to 5 different Kangaroo locations and firecracked the dude but he does not want to drop the third sack? I need the medal to get the bouncy ball and now I’m stuck any help or am I screwed?

Wait, there are 5 locations? I only know about 4.
1) Room with the duck to the right of the bottom of the well.
2) Room with ghosts to the left of the bottom of the well.
3) Room to the right of the frog shortcut.
4) Room with two dog statues near the wolf shortcut.

There is another kangaroo location two rooms directly beneath #2, coming to the bottom of the well from where you started the game.

And I'm having a similar problem. I threw a firecracker at the kangaroo out of annoyance, not knowing it'd have any affect, and I heard the jingle and he dropped the first shard right as I was going off screen. The item seems to have despawned, as after I 'defeated' him the second and third time he's not dropping a shard and the first shard isn't appearing in any of his spawn locations.

Yes I found the last room after posting this and got the 3 shards. I read somewhere that if the shard was dropped and you left the screen then it may have "fallen" into an adjacent room.

Oh geeze, thank you, you're right. It was in the same room, but the item had managed to get UP into a secret passage in the same room I fought the kangaroo in. Hope this helps, Plant! Look in the rooms and check the secret passages inside the rooms, as well.
