[SPOILERS] Struggling to Progress

So I've gotten all the fires already, as well as the UV light, bouncy ball and remote control, but I can't seem find the rest of the items or secrets. I feel like i'm just dumb, but I can't complete the green button puzzle at the bottom of the area locked behind the 4 flames, and I'm only at 46 eggs. I'm sure if I put another 5 hours into combing through each and every room to find the missing items I'll get 100% eventually, but after 10 hours of already doing that I need some hints.

Drop Slink.
run under block 1 after slink lifts it.
jump down and throw disk after slink lifts block 2
race up to platform 3 before the disk hits button 3.
fall on button 4 and wait for the slink to rest on block 5
use bubble to press button 5.

This room is awful due to the time needed to retry. No other area requires you to switch between several items in quick succession. Very frustrating.

You can open the item menu which pauses time and allows you to select a specific item, instead of using the buttons/keys that move left/right in the item list in real time.
