Solution Remember when you got your disc-frisbee item, and then had to swap a dummy-disc item into the wolf mouth statue to stop the wolf ghost? You need to take that disc back out of the wolf head, and bring it all the way up to the M. Disc room
You should. This is the worst game design decision I've seen in a long time.
If I wasn't already past 2 hours I would refund it without hesitation.
I personally used an alternative route: after taking the disc, go down to the starting area, go through the fish mouth to get to the warp room, enter the left bear's mouth, that way you skip a couple annoying puzzles. From there This itinerary also gets you 3 firecrackers, which you can use to stunlock the ghost if a room gives you trouble.
Throw your disc at a height they can't jump to. It'll keep bouncing, they'll stay distracted by it, and you can walk right through them without getting hurt.
