Full answer:
1) The grass depicts a barcode.
2) You can take a screenshot and have it read online, giving the numbers 18756753.
3) Using the flute cypher, play those numbers as notes in this room.

Bumping this because I'm wondering too. I have every achievement now so whatever it is it's probably deep post-game stuff.

Maybe bring the manticore there to destroy some blocks?

Can I still do this even if I already [MAJOR END GAME SPOILER]beat the game? I found a secret drawing of the blob riding the Manticore, and I've bumped into a couple people mentioning the same thing, but I'm pretty sure I killed him with the fireworks before I knew about this.

I need to play the game again anyway to beat the time limit(s), but I'm so invested in 100%ing my first save file I really don't want to restart until I've exhausted all my options.

Do you know about the second manticore? The one used for the second ending. You can basically bring it anhywhere on the map.

I did not know this! That's exciting. I guess I gotta keep unraveling the mystery of the Well. It seemingly never ends.

I love it (no) when a game makes you forget you're playing a game and use the internet.
That's a  decision.

Agreed entirely. That's damm obnoxious. Still great game, but I had a feeling it was going to pull some absurd "puzzles" eventually

it's an "ARG" puzzle and completely optional. nothing requires you to solve this it's just an easter egg

Not really? There's an entire layer of collectibles that this is tied to. That layer is ALL esoteric stuff like this, but it's all IN the game. Nothing "requires" anyone to do optional content, they do it because the game is fun, but this really stretches the limit of fun for anyone who doesn't want to get a lot of the collectibles in a game through just guides or other people telling them things.

id say this chest specifically is actively harmful because i was 100% sure that this was the final match i hadnt found and spent probably around an hour trying to think of how i could possibly get to it coming back anytime i found something new
