Stuck where the 3 cats hang from the ceiling

I’ve spent over an hour trying to get the highest button where the cats hang in their cages from. I know I have to reverse the movement so the platforms move up instead of down, but I don’t know how to do that AND get back! Any help would be appreciated!

There is a fish tube that lets you unlock a new path so you can get back while platforms are moving up.
