Do people realize that "<x> told me to buy this game" type reviews being at the top make people less interested in the game, not more?

If you want the game to sell well then say something informative in your review, please, not just a meme.

That's what I'm seeing, lots of memes acting as reviews wth little to no game time, which does not help because it's very likely that people will get the game influenced by X amount of positive reviews, just to be disappointed and confused, then to refund the game and having the developer missing that well deserved profit for their effort.

I would say that steam needs to ban meme reviews, but they won't do anything. This is the industry we have for the better or worse.

I've seen from a mille. Also I think it's mainly because of Dunkey the price tag is so exaggerated. It's an ok game, but I wouldn't pay for it more than 8 bucks tbh.

Being a fan of a celebrity shouldn't determine your opinion about a product they're promoting, your opinion must be unbiased regarding the publisher. Example: Devolver is a traditionally great publisher, but I won't flinch when posting a bad review about one of their games if I think they deserve it. Or if NakeyJakey published a game that I found terrible or just mid, I would say so even though he's one of my favourite YouTubers, well above Dunkey (several wells above Dunkey in fact).

I've been following this game here and lurking in their Discord for 30 years.

Judging by the serious reviews, I think it's fair to say that people are really enjoying this game, regardless of their loyalty to dunkey or otherwise.

Last i checked, there were only 5 negative reviews, and they were all about the art direction or common features of a Metroidvania. Those are things people can pick up on from the store page and choose not to buy the game easily. It seems like everyone else is enjoying it.

Your opinion can be as biased as you want, but not when reviewing a game. If it wasn't your case in particular, then omit this point, but part of my complaint is about the "reviews".
