Stuck in room with an ostrich and two mice with ONLY the disk

We fell down in a room with an ostrich and two mice where we can't get back up.

We're fairly early in the game and only have the disk in our inventory. No bubbles or anything else I've seen in other posts about being stuck in this room.

In the room to the left of the ostrich+mice room is a capybara and a locked door.

To the right of the ostrich+mice room is a room with switchable blocks. We've followed this path until a room with two walls of mice heads that we can't get past.

There is something below the ostrich+mice room too but both ways down are inaccessible.

How can we continue playing from here?

We're not very hardcore gamers so no too tricky platforming hopefully. I read that the game is not *too* hard - that if something seems too hard, there's probably another way - which is why we're giving this game a go. But we can't see what way forward or back there is here.

you can definitely solve the room to the right. it's just a puzzle

The two mice head columns are a little misleading. You can just damage boost through them, which is what I've seen most people do, but they're one block in size. Some of the platforms are safe to stand on, they'll just fly over and under you.

You can also wait for them to bounce against each other on the left side, then climb onto the platforms between these moving walls and stay between them while platforming.
