[bug report] issue with whistle fast travel

I'm having a weird issue that I think may be a bug.

I unlocked fast travel with the whistle, and shortly thereafter quit the game. I started back up to a point after I'd found the whistle, but before I did the music puzzle. And now, the music puzzle won't work, and I can't use the whistle for fast travel at all.

What do you mean the "music puzzle"? Playing it in the fish room as he shows? As far as I know that is just to show you the pattern, it isn't actually required for anything. How are you trying to use the whistle, because you may just be doing something wrong. A video would be even better, but obviously a lot more work, or maybe you can just look at a video tutorial to compare with what you are doing. There is also always repairing your steam game files to make sure it isn't an actual file issue.

I have the same issue. I have gathered 40 eggs and have not beaten the ghost dog yet and am just now finding out about this mechanic. I could have done this so much faster. I have opened the animal heads with the whistle but I did not activate fast travel by playing the pattern on the platform with the fish. Now, when I try to do that, nothing happens and I fear I need to start the whole thing over :(

Started over, Same thing. Not really sure what to do now. The ghost dog is kicking my butt.

OK GOT IT! I went to the hidden room to the left of where the fish teaches you the song and played it for the hippo. the sound and flash startled the heck outta me XD
