[Bug Report] Locked out of post-game content [SPOILERS]

I think I have reached a game state where the UV bunny is uncollectable.

Some background: there are 20 bunny statues, but there are only 16 bunnies in the game (not counting ones which are apparently unintended). Bunny statue #7 (counting from the left) corresponds to the bunny you can only see by using the UV stick, and this is the only bunny missing in my game.

At some point, I remember finding the UV bunny and maybe collecting it, so this may have set some flag which causes it not to appear any more. Because after finding out that the UV bunny is missing, I've spent a total of roughly 45 minutes searching for it to no avail.

I've tried the following:
- Starting from the egg room, go right -> down -> right -> right -> up the ladder -> right -> up -> left -> down -> back to the egg room and repeat
- Going back and forth in the flame hub room on a disc

I've been unable to encounter the UV bunny ever since I first saw it.

Having a similar issue where I just can't find the UV bunny even after hunting for a couple of hours. Does anyone know the entire path that it takes?

Having the exact same issue in my game. Found the bunny originally by pure chance in the flame room, but when I went to check the statues it wasn't there. Been hunting for hours doing the same things you tried, no dice. From reading other player's experiences with the UV bunny, it should be able to be found within 10-15 minutes if you know where to look. I'm pretty much positive I collected it already and now am softlocked out of the final puzzle.

Okay 2 things. 1. go up to the bunny island and look for the your UV bunny while using UV. If it's not there, then you don't have it. You can only see the UV bunny while using the UV light.
Second thing, if you haven't caught him, then there are sparkles you'll see on the map, while using your UV. Follow those sparkles and you'll run into him.

The UV bunny can only been seen while using the UV light, even on bunny island.

I always find the UV bunny left of the dog statue where you get the disc. There's always a sparkle trial left behind by that bunny, so if you see that, you know it's close. Also when you do catch the bunny, you can only see the UV bunny with the UV light, even on bunny island.

Yep turns out I had found it and had not realised due to it only been seen with UV. Went to the island and couldn't see him so assumed I did not have him.

[EDIT 2] Died, respawned, and the ghost that had appeared momentarily and never again respawned too. Got the last two bunnies. Not bugged. Just leaving this here instead of deleting in case somebody else has the same troubles.

[EDIT] I found the UV bunny immediately (like within 90 seconds) after posting this. idk if this means anything, but the clock chimed right before i saw him in the flame statue room. now i realize i had seen him before but not collected him. i guess now i'll continue trying to figure out the ghost bunny. I'm having a similar issue.. i think.. the load game screen says i have 14 bunnies, and on bunny island i'm missing the UV bunny and the bunny you get from the ghost without a candle.. but i feel like i've seen them before, and surely if i'd seen them i'd have collected them.. right?

the strange thing is that sometimes in the flame statue room, i will see some sparkles... but nothing happens and they just fade away. also, in the ghost without a candle room, i went in there and it appeared for a moment and then disappeared before i did anything. now i can't make it happen again.

this is all _after_ getting to bunny island. i have seen the sparkles (but no bunny) in the flame room twice since then, and the ghost without a candle once. am i bugged? am i just doing something dumb? if anybody knows, tell me what you think. i've done everything else in the game except these two bunnies that i THINK i already got..
