Stamp Icon Meanings

Hey guys, I just got the stamp tool and noticed there are a ton of different symbols to choose from. What do they mean? Or what meaning do you personally associate them with? Thanks! :)

No symbol means anything, as in every game.
Zelda has i.e. rupees, bombs and arrows you want to mark, and what map symbols do you get? A feather, a rectangle and a questionmark!
Developers seem to LOVE giving us symbols that mean NOTHING in the game we are playing :P

Weird, right? I used the chest icon to mark collectibles I couldn't reach yet and the question mark on things that looked curious. But I also assumed the symbols have a hidden or special meaning.
Maybe if I look hard enough I'll find a use for them...

It seems there is some meaning behind that, which I don't know yet. These symbols can be found elsewhere. Keep looking, you will find it for sure!


You will find these exact symbols in different rooms on pillars, associated with numbers. I have found 24 so far. I haven't solved that puzzle yet, though. And I think there are far more pillars with these symbols.

there's quite a few of them 48ish?? i believe. stamp them on your map as you find them as a reminder.

to make things a bit less annoying here's some clues to narrow down the search. they are all found only in the vertically middle third section of the map and they run across the whole map west to east

to visually demonstrate. if the map looked like

you would only find them in area 2

i use the fire stamp for candles

i used the fire stamp for candles and the chest for chests i could see but couldnt reach yet. and the swirly ones i use for the fast travel points. ive also used the partial diamonds for catfish entrances and the full diamonds for the exits, with a number next to them in pencil so i know which is which, though idk if youve unlocked the pencil.

I mostly used the chest for things I found but couldn't collect yet, question marks for anywhere I suspected there to be a secret room or passage, and spirals to mark the 3 places you put a medal. Marking the 8 warp pipe exits might be useful too.
