Tamagochi Puzzle

I threw the drill thing in the right side of the top of the well, and for my surprise it made a hole, and i found this weird giant Tamagochi like structure that you can enter, it counts your steps, but also there's a chest if you walk some inside of it, can someone explain me what that is?

It's called a pedometer. The puzzle here is that you can only go through that door if you're below 100 steps... however it's impossible to get there in less than 100 steps of course so you have to get there when you're close to 99999 steps, after which it will roll over to 0.

You pick up the pedometer item, it then tracks your steps in the pause menu.

So, I also saw that chest in the Pedometer. But at a certain point when I returned to it, I could see that the chest was opened. Though I had never crossed the wall inside the Pedometer. Not sure how that happened but I have reached the second credit screen, found all tools + all eggs.

Yeah this happened to me too. I was near 40k steps when I got to the tamagochi, so I just walked back and forth inside of it. When I hit 40k, a special noise popped up and I was teleported to another room inside of the tamagochi. Its a smaller room, with no chest in it, except an open chest beyond a wall on the right side.

Not sure if this means something?

Did another 10k steps, took about 10m, nothing happened at 50k... You can speed up the counter if you hold a direction on your joystick and rapidly press the opposite direction on your keyboard. About 10 steps per second.

Where is the item? Do you have to reach the pedometer with a lowish number of steps to get it?

It's right of the large drop. You have to use a top to get it. You can retrieve the pedometer at any time. The other items though need to be reached with lower than 100 steps.
