Mac / Apple Port
Have the developers said whether this game will be Mac OS compatible, or whether a Mac compatible version will be released on Steam some time after the Windows release? The system requirements currently only list Windows.

Hi, sorry, I'm currently not planning on doing a Mac OS port, since it's my own custom engine and it would require quite a bit of work. I will let you know if that plan changes though!

Hi, thanks very much for responding. Understandable that there isn't a Mac port planned. Thanks for offering to let me know if the plan changes - that'd be nice! Here's hoping the game is wildly successful and earns you a mountain of money. Then, maybe it'd be cost-effective to make a Mac port, and earn a medium-to-large hill of money, in addition to the mountain of Windows user money. Best of luck with your game and future projects!

Are you familiar with the Mac Game Porting Toolkit? It's a bunch of tools Apple released last year that helps converting the APIs to Metal as well as doing all the shader compilations, and other tasks. Would it help porting your custom engine over? Apple made some guides about it here: https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2023/10123/

Would you consider looking into why the game doesn't start in an ARM Windows setup, like with a M1 MacBook running Parallels? Support said they don't support virtual machines, but it'd be very welcome to find some way to run the game if we can't have a native app.

Parallels doesn't support DX12

I think a lot of people would like to play this game on a mac os desktop.
But it's fine, good luck for the future.

Ah bummer. Fingers crossed that it becomes easier in the near future!

The Steam and the game run great on Wine Crossover.

Works great for me on macOS under CrossOver. Run with D3DMetal *disabled*. (Some rooms have display issues if D3DMetal is used.) Other than that, I haven't seen any issues and the game runs super smoothly.

I was having troubles with some glitched rooms using Crossover. Thanks for the tip, now everything works fine!
