Hi WewLadz,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you try updating your video and sound card drivers to see if this helps?

Just to confirm, do you also have a sound card installed?

I just updated my drivers and the same issues occurred

Thank you and can you now try the following, which is to navigate to the following folder on your computer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Strategic Command Classic WWII

From here you should see a file called 'regsvr32_dx7vbdll.bat'

Right click on this file and select 'Run as Administrator' to see if this does the trick for you.

I did as you said and the same two error messages come up

Hmm... I suspect perhaps sound card related issue then, can you try the following?

Navigate to the following folder for the Pacific game (change username to your username):

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command Classic WWII - Pacific

Open the file sc2.ini and then change the following line to this:

#SOUND_EFFECTS= 0

Then try and launch the Pacific game to see if this now works for this game at least.

Very odd WewLadZ and to be honest I'm not sure what else to suggest at this point as it isn't clear to me why it is failing on your computer despite the error messages. Is there possibly another computer you could try the game on to see if you could get it working?

No I don't but I'll dabble around in it some more and see if I can fix it. If i do i'll state on how i fixed it, also thanks for you help and suggestions.

I have the same problem. The game doesn´t launch. By the way it has to do something with one of your updates. Because it did work after I installed it. Also it is the some problem with WWI Classics.
I would very much ask you to fix this as soon as possible. I actually paid money to update to the steam version and now the game is broke.

I Ivan, I believe you are the same player that posted on the Matrix forums that now got their game working, if you did, please let us know, thanks!

Hubert, I'm having the same exact problem with the 2 error messages. Nothing seems to help.

One last suggestion is the following, after a restart of your computer, try this:

Try running Steam client as administrator:

Run Steam as Administrator

- Navigate your Steam installation file (By default, it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam).
- Right-click the Steam executable.
- Follow the above steps to set it to Run as Administrator.
- Restart Steam.
