Sorry to hear it the game take so much time to launch.
Is the NVME your system drive? Do you have more NVME drives in your system?
This can sometimes cause one of the drivers to work slower.
Have you tested read/write speeds and access time on this drive?
Do you mean 2min 30sec from pressing Start to the game main menu or until your progress is loaded up as well?
2 min and 30 seconds from double clicking the shortcut to the full screen splash screen. Game just stays on the loading screen before launching the game. The same one one that pops up when you exit the game, a small screen pops up where it where it says ynchronization save game etc. and close it self. It stays on the screen for 2 minutes and 30 seconds before launching the game.
İ have yesterday finished Farcry 6 and never had this problem and don't have this problem with Skull and bones too.
Only this game.
Game is installed on a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB nvme drive and just did a performance benchmark test and Sequential read speed is : 3570MB/s, Write : 3505MB/s. Drive Health is good.
Driver are fully updated and I have a I9-13900KF and and 4090, 128gb ddr5 ram. And windows 11 pro. But in game benchmark says it's a windows 10 business edition for some reason. And yes I have undervolt my cpu too due known instability issues.
On top of that, last two hours I have constant crashes too. I have verified files, disabled all overlays including ubisoft connect, ran the game exe as admistrator, set the power mode to high performance for the game.
2560x1440 resulution settings and graphics settings is at ultra high.
Game is not optimized well??
But yet the the 2 minutes and 30-40 seconds waiting for the game to launch thing is frustrating. I hope there is a easy fix for that.
Thanks for all the explanations and info on your troubleshooting steps.
If by limiting FPS the game stops crashing, it might be due to one of the components working too hard on unlimited FPS.
Odyssey can be quite heavy on the CPU. Did you try removing the undrvolting and leaving it on default? No need to try it if you are happy with 90FPS, though.
Also, what is your BIOS date? You can find it easily by typing "System Information" in the start menu and opening the system info app. You will have BIOS version/date record there.
For the 13900 I would advise you to keep the latest one as there were some improvements introduced to them. Keep in mind that updating BIOS will reset all settings to default, undervolt included.
And please, DO NOT update BIOS if you've never done it before and are not 100% sure how to do it. Ask someone for assistance.
As for the long boot time, would you mind moving the game to the C drive and see if that helps? I understand you may want to keep the system drive clean, but if this does not help you can move it back to the storage drive.
