1 FPS Glitch Audio Still Works

Hey guys, I’m currently running Assassins Creed Odyssey on PC (i7-12700H/1TB SSD/16GB RAM/GeForce RTX 4060). The game runs great except for random times when the game freezes to 1 fps but the audio still works and the only way to fix it is to restart my pc as when I get back to Windows it’s still running really slow and it’s as if it carried over from the game. It seems to happen a couple times in a 3-4 hour gaming session. I’ve tried multiple different things like setting priority on task manager to high, making sure nothing is running in the back ground, and my cpu/gpu temps are good so that’s not an issue.

I’ve heard the game trying to auto save a lot could be the issue, or I’m wondering if it’s because I decreased my CPU performance from 100 to 98 to lower temps.

Has anyone experienced this/have ideas on a potential fix?

Sorry for the delayed response and that you are experiencing FPS issues while playing the game at random times.

This could potentially be due to the game trying to auto save, but while there may be some hiccups it shouldn't cause FPS issues like you have described.

Thanks for the help, after some testing I discovered it was the auto save and the game doing it to much. The solution I have now is just to clear the auto saves periodically. As far as I’m aware, there isn’t any option to disable auto save.
