You can also try DXVK. It converts the game to run Vulkan instead of DirectX. So it may help improve performance for you. Here is link: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v2.2
Copy the following DLL's from the x64 folder to the Assassins's Creed game folder - d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll. Don't copy the Direct3D9 and 10 DLL's - this results in the game not starting up.
You can also re-link your account when you log into Ubisoft's website. If you are still having trouble contact Ubisoft support. They will get back to you.
Your CPU is too old and does not support SSE 4.2 instruction set. Which is needed to run the game.
It will fail to launch no matter what you do. You will need to buy a new computer unfortunately.
I would suggest you refund the game if you recently bought it until than.
btw i, planning to buy a new mobo and new cpu. does it support AMD Ryzen 5 1600x?
If buying new PC I would suggest to not buy 1st Gen Ryzen. Go with 5K series Ryzen 7, or 7K series Ryzen 7.
6 core CPU is pretty much obsolete now and your CPU will go much further having 8+ cores.
Think of new PC as investment. The more you put into it today. The further it will go into the future. So you dont need to spend more money upgrading sooner.
alright i'll take it as advice, thanks.
Welcome!
