No offline mode for ubisoft software?

So I usually play all games offline. I tried this with this game as well, but the ubisoft launcher won't let me. Steam at least lets you play offline (there seems to be no difference with most games I've played in the offline mode even if you disconnect your computer) - but the ubisoft software (even with the ubisoft offline mode turned on) won't let you play offline (if you physically disconnect your pc from the internet) - the software keeps asking for an access to the internet, otherwise it won't start the game (besides other problems with the offline mode). So this means that ubisoft lies to you when they tell you that your in an offline mode.
Is there any workaround for this ******* companies software to work i a true offline mode?

Any help would be appreciated

Edit: By the way, after I tried a 'real' offline mode by disconnecting the pc (before I started the game), the game or the ubisoft launcher crashed the radeon graphics software (green screen of death) and after trying several different methodes to get it running again, I had to reinstall the radeon software as well as the whole game. UBIsoft: your games are great popcorn games, but your other software ***** !

Check in the ubi client, there's an icon like a menu a top left, in it an option to switch to offline. Perhaps try that, and then only you can be really offline. I read some comment about that weird detail but never tried.

I know that you have the possibility to turn to an 'offline mode' in the ubisoft launcher as well as in the ubi client, but to my experience this is no real offline mode - it's fake. If this 'offline mode is enabled and you physically disconnect your pc, the game won't launch and you get a green screen of death - seems to crash your graphics driver.

Mmm so you mean the launcher detects if it's really offline and then force a crash of the graphic driver?

Anyway as I said I didn't tried so I can't say.

This , at least, is my experience.
And it's really annoying, because I had to reinstall 'Odessey' two times by finding out this ;).
Anyway, this was probably the last ubisoft game I bought.

Apologies for the delay, thanks for getting in touch!

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey should be able to work via Offline Mode and certainly shouldn't crash your GPU.

Are you setting Steam and Ubisoft Connect Offline Mode? And are you mid-game when you're than disconnecting your internet entirely?

Have you also yet attempted verifying the game's files[ubi.li]?
