Unplayable due to mouse locked to center of scren

Just like the title says. My mouse cursor is locked, I can't move it, or click on anything. If I use a gamepad, you cant actually select anything because the controls just constantly scroll through... try to play the game and the camera just spins around.

Completely and totally bugged.

Maybe it's getting confused (due to piss-poor programming, of course) by your gamepad?

i tried unplugging it... doesn't change anything. Tried having nothing but the xbox controller (unplugged mouse and keyboard) and the controls still go nuts. Its completely borked.

i managed to fix it. for anyone else... this is a pain in the booty but heres how.

You have to somehow get yourself to the controls tab in the options menu, and then turn off device autoswitching. This will be very difficult as the menu screen is going to scroll uncontrollably but if you get lucky like I did you can manage to trigger the option, and turn it off, which will you control back. Wipe the sweat from your brow and you can play the game.

Just to say there`s also an option in steam`s custom controller interface that also can cause this issue. It seems to lock out the mouse until you move it but then reverts back almost instantly to the controller again so you have what looks like a very brief mouse control then nothing.

You can also fix it without needing to start the game first. Edit the ACOdyessy.ini file and change the entry AutoSwitchEnabled=1 to AutoSwitchEnabled=0

2 years later and they still haven't fixed this. Thanks for posting this I was able to fix my game.
