The game starts fine after I closed Joystick Curves, a program that emulates a virtual joystick to edit the curves of my HOTAS. It's amazing Odyssey fails to start when that program runs, there's something too picky in the code for controllers.

Glad to hear you managed to resolve this!

i7 7700K @ 5.0GHz, GTX 1070 SC (Driver 417.35), 16GB DDR4@3200MHz, Game installed on SSD, Windows 10 Build 17763
Tried:
- Tried switching from Full Screen to Window when game launched (Alt + Enter)
- Renaming the config file in Documents\Assassin's Creed Odyssey to generate a clean one
- Disabled Geforce Experience Overlays
FIXED:
Game fails to launch when RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS 7.1.0) is running. This was occurring even with the overlay disabled. RivaTuner is installed when MSI afterburner is installed which I use for overclocking my GPU. I uninstalled RivaTuner and was able to launch the game without issue (MSI afterburner and GPU OC still running).
