I thought maybe it was a Uconnect (or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they call it now) issue because it asked me to log in again today, but it didn't last night. In fact, it never has for other ubisoft games, I logged in so long ago and hasn't been an issue since
Anyway, I restart, login, its loading and get into the game and it crashed as soon as I start walking around. Strange? I restart again. Same thing. I try lowering graphic settings. Same, crashes again.
What's strange is that it was working completely fine on the first initial start up. But now the next day, it can't even run. Why??? what changed?? nothing!
This is irritating and I might just ask for a refund and go play the Witcher instead lol
nevertheless, don't refund the game, just downgrade your driver version to pre-21. as it's still essentially the same thing and it'll allow you to actually play the game
here's the links you need:
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3480 (official download)
https://www.amd.com/en/support (select your gpu and locate "previous drivers" on the page it takes you to)
I recommend 20.12.1, as that's the one I've been using with no problems whatsoever
Same 21.5.2, running on a RX570. Managed to get 2.5 hours in then crashes within 10 seconds of loading. Gonna restore to old drivers, hopefully that works.
**Edit the 20.12.1 whql version fixes it for me as well. No crashes.

Thank you Sir for this information. I did this as well and the game is now working perfectly after having the EXACT same scenario you had!
edit: now some of the sounds are gone... I guess I cannot play this game anymore.
Glad to see this is resolved for you!
