I am afraid it's not something that would be possible to disable as the feature is integrated within the game, however I will make sure your feedback gets passed over to our development team on-board.
Should you have any further questions, let us know!

Hey there.
As advised by UbiKarl this is a feature that we have don't have a great deal of control over I'm afraid as it is a necessary step upon launching the game. All we can advise that might help to speed up this process is to move the game and launchers to the same drive and , if possible, an SSD if those aren't already the case.
Thanks

Hi there!
Sorry about that! Do you have the game and launchers on the same drive installed? What kind of hard drive is it?
Thanks!

I got Valhalla on a mx500 SSD, and it takes a good 20 sec to wait for the game to realize there's no new add-ons and makes each boot just a pain to wait for. At least with the splash screens, I just renamed them all as they are just too slow/long lasting and adds a good half min of waiting there as they are unskipable.
Rest of the specs if needed: 5900x, 64GB 3600mhz ram and 3090
At least, please don't make your future games annoying just to open.
"As advised by UbiKarl this is a feature that we have don't have a great deal of control over I'm afraid as it is a necessary step upon launching the game" <-- Just bad game design.
Thanks for your message.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla checks this additional content every time it is launched and there is no way to disable it.
The game generally takes a bit more time to launch, compared to some other titles.
It's not ideal, however, we cannot offer any workaround it.
Make sure the game is installed on an SSD drive, to alleviate the launch time.
I'm locking this thread now, as there is no other advise or troubleshooting available.
