Does Dolby Atmos work on this game?
Not the Dolby Atmos for headphones, but the full uncompressed for home theater?

All of your points are irrelevant. There is a sound encoding soecification that Dolby defines, and there is certified equipment and software that can reproduce it. Whereas it's good or bad is in the ears of the beholder, and way beyond the very specific scope of my original question.

Atmos is like THX. Anyone can buy the logo without certification.

If what you said is true for any device, then do my Lenovo tablet have Atmos logo and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sound?
THX also lost it's value when they started to sell the logo only which anyone could slap onto any sound device.
Atmos is the same. Anyone can slap the logo on without being certified.

It's all about money and not quality anymore.

Again, irrelevant. I have an Atmos certified home theater that has additional height channels. On games that support it, the effect is noticeable. Is it better than your amazing home theater? Probably not, but beyond the scope of the question. However, the game does not support atmos, regarldess.

Yeah. Anyways I find it weird that Origins have Atmos, and not Odyssey.
The Division 2 have Atmos btw.

Out of all Atmos games, i have around 10 of them.
Battlefield 1, For Honor, Gears of war 4 and 5, Forza Horizon 3, Crackdown 3, Metro Exodus and Rise of the Tomb raider.
As you can see BF1 have Atmos, but not BF V (5).
Both newest Tomb Raider games have Atmos support.

Out of all 2019 games there is Gears of War 5, Division 2, Metro Exodus and Crackdown 3 with Atmos.
Overall Microsoft is the biggest supported for Atmos in games. Atleast 6 MS have Atmos.
I expect upcoming Flight Simulator to have Atmos too.

I don't think any game supports DTS:X or Auro 3D.

Auro 3D is mostly only for cinemas, but some Blu-Rays also have it as main audio track.
Out of my ~1400 retail Blu-Rays, only Pixels, Inferno and Jumanji 2 have Auro 3D sound.

Auro 3D requires atleast 12 speakers to work, and could be why it's ignored.

Auro 3D is backwards compatible with DTS-HD, but you will only get DTS-HD 5.1 from it.

Atmos in games is only supported by Microsoft Xbox games nowadays which is also on PC.

each new assasins creed uses worse and worse audio compression valhalla literally using 70kb thats worse than early 2000 mp3 rips that had like 128. the audio is so bad and muffled its a joke this got accepted at quality control.

This game supports Dolby Digital Live or DTS (99% of PC games after 2000 support this by default) . You need and sound card (example Creative AE5Plus) and an audio system 5.1 with optical connection to pc
I tried it and it works : RDR2 , Cyberpunk , Fallout 4 , Dishnored , Doom eternal , GTA V , Final Fantasy XV , XIV , Walking dead , Death stranding)
Witcher 3 doesn support it , one of the few modern games who dont work with Dolby Digital Live (it defaults to stereo)

Ps: i am not talking about ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5.1 virtualization crap which is inferior and basically mixes all sound on all channels ! You know it works when the voice comes from the center speaker and if a fire is behind u u an hear it only in the back 2 speakers and noting on the front 2
Ps2: i know dolby atmos is more advanced but Dolby Digital Live / DTS works wonders for majority of PC games

I know this is an old thread but it was still the number 1 google result when searching about Atmos support on PC for Odyssey.

Neither Origins or Odyssey support Spatial Sound(Atmos/DTS:X) on PC. Origins USED to support it but people with certain headsets had bugs with dialogue being inaudible so they completely removed it.

There are also absolutely soundbars that can produce good 3D audio via Atmos or DTS:X. Upfiring speakers are inconsistent but depending on the room and soundbar it can produce convincing height effects. Virtualization is also a good option, though the quality of the virtualization can vary. Remember you only have two ears. You perceive directional audio from how it passes through/bounces around your head, oral and sinus cavities, ear canal, folds in your ears, etc. It's entirely possible to virtualize those effects, though if your head/ear size, shape, etc is very different from what they are modeling then it won't work well. Ideally you still want to have as many speaker channels as possible or a quality set of headphones to keep environmental factors from affecting virtualization quality.

I have to agree with above poster; spatial sound engineering has come a long way and Atmos has demonstrated impressive results from a seemingly impossible setup.

I was cynical for a long time but even a soundbar or my Airpods Pro can produce convincing height, depth, stunning highs and rich, full lows.

As a snob myself, I was impressed. On topic: companies seem to not appreciate and respect the possibilities of Atmos and spatial audio in general, but the technology is still new so give it some time to ripen.
