Black Screen with white box on launch
I pay 90 Australian dollars for this game and i'm given this in return?

Can you post your specs besides saying that you exceed the games?

Try running it as admin, try verifying your game files, try unblocking the game in your anti virus. Not much else you can do.

Literal thousands (conservatively) of people playing the game without issue, but yeah, its the games fault. This is the kind of hyperbole I love.

Probably a program interaction or settings issue. If you're on windows 10, disabling fullscreen optimization can help. Disabling overlays like Discord/Twitch/Game Bar will prevent issues as well.

Ubisoft got back to me they said my problem might be i installed the Uplay Client and the game on different harddrives so I em reinstaliing everything on the same drive drive will let you know if it works.

I have the same issue. 70 hours in. This game is unreliable AF on my MSI GS65 Laptop with 1070 Max-Q The latest update just started causing this for me also. This is the only game i've ever had a problem with. God I hate paying for games and having the company break the gamei bought just to make sure i'm not pirating it.

OK So I couldn't figure out how to move UPlay to D: so I moved AC to C:, still got the white box. So I rolled back to an older NVIDIA driver and that solved my problem. This game is higher maintenance than my ex-girlfriend

I have msi gs63vr with gtx 1060 ..same issue .(white square with black backround, and can hear music) .did reinstalling uplay on the drive work ?

Hello ...we almost have the same laptop and same issue ...MSI GS63vr gtx 1060..
Can you please let me know what driver you rolled back to.??

and what has that to do with the game? modern drivers seem no longer compatible with older ones.
