Running an unsupported video driver
I have recently started getting crashes on this game along with the message

"Warning: you are running an unsupported video driver please update your driver for optimal performance"

CPU i7-4770k
GPU Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb
Driver version 445.87
32GB RAM

I cannot update as this is the latest. I suspected that my driver was more advanced than the game as on the Ubisoft website it states optimal drivers are

Desktop Operating System Driver version

Windows 10 436.15
NVIDIA

I tried to roll back my drivers to suit AC Odyssey through device manager>Display adaptors but was unable to.
I have tried to contact Ubi but their site says they are only taking webchats, then when you go to do a webchat it says "sorry webchat is unavailable" its remained this way for several days.

Advice please
Thank-you in advance

Here on the forum users were reporting issues with 445.75 and 445.78 drivers specifically.

Two solutions:
1. Roll-back your drivers manually, not over device manager or something like that. And I suggest this and not the method #2.

2. Or you can install latest hotfix for 445.87 drivers from here[nvidia.custhelp.com] and see does it help.

1. First download some older version. I can suggest 442.59[www.nvidia.com].

2. After that download program called Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)[www.guru3d.com].
3. Disable your internet connection on your PC. Best way is to unplug the cable.(I'll explain why down below)
4. Run DDU.
5. After DDU finishes everything, install 442.59 drivers.

For DDU usage:
- Make sure that you disconnect your PC from internet before you uninstall and reboot your PC so that Windows doesn't install some generic drivers after you restart your PC.
- Once you disconnect your PC, run DDU, select your Nvidia GPU and press Clean and restart.
- After everything is done and your PC is restarted, run the drivers installation (442.59).

Thanks for the advice, this however did not work, I also tried repeating the process but with their recommendation of 436.15 and I'm still getting the unsupported driver message. I tried the hotfix that didnt work either. damn Ubisoft

Hm, sorry to hear that!

What if you try to install Studio version of the drivers on your PC? Maybe you'll receive error message and you won't be able to install those. But maybe you can try.

When you go to Nvidia site[www.nvidia.com] choose the drivers for your product and in Download Type select Studio driver.
Looks like this:
Manually find drivers for my NVIDIA products. Product Type: Product Series: Product: Operating System: Download Type: STUDIO DRIVER (not Game Ready) Language:
I've tried to select it for you, but I'm not sure will it be opened when you click on the link.

Still no luck, I appreciate the help. My other ubisoft games are acting similair but all my non ubi games are fine leading me to believe that the fault is with ubi. The only recent change is going from 8gb ram to 32. I also changed my main drive from an HDD to an SSD

1. I can suggest here is that if you overclocked your CPU (since you have K version) try to use stock speeds.

2. Run Uplay as an admin as well.

And that's all I can give as an advice. Sorry!
