Barnabas missing

I'm too far in the story to get a new save going. (Got a couple of legendaries n stuff)

Barnabas is missing from the ship, I have had him appear at the Delphi cutscene but he's not on the Adrastia anymore.

I have tried removing all active lieutenants to reserver and removing all cosmetic options from the Adrastia and reload the whole game. Nothing seemed to have worked.

I had something very similar early on just now, in Equal Opportunities Program. I came back to the ship after recruiting everyone on the island and Barnabas was gone (had to speak to him). I then followed the marker and he was *in the water* treading water. I jumped in and was able to talk to him. I then continued and about halfway to the next destination he re-appeared on deck...
