Considering you're playing on a laptop, you'll most certainly suffer from thermal throttling. This game is very CPU intensive, and with that CPU of yours it'll be running at 100% most of the times, but still should be quite playable at 1080p medium-low settings. https://youtu.be/9bbGhpRdUcE

I play with significantly lower specs than your and had a blast, playing between 30-40 fps. You could buy it and try it out and see if it runs playable for you, if not, you can refund it (if you don't pass the 2hs playtime). But yeah, if I were you I'll wait until I could upgrade my system, high temperatures are going to definitely affect your gameplay experience here.
Still, here's another video if you still want to give this game a shot that'll help you gain some fps without sacrificing many details https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chqQanHcvHk

Np, have fun and maybe in the future you can enjoy this game! Take note that all Ubisoft tittles from now on will require more or less the same specs in order to run properly, they're not fans of PC players, I'm afraid.

I've got a GTX 1060 3gb, i5 8400 and 24 gigs of ram and manage to barely run at 60 FPS on medium-high. So yes, i would say this game has got some issues, but I dont really mind.

Playing on old i7-4770 with 1050ti 4gb, 20gb ram, all medium, still have great time.

Even on summer my temperatures never go higher than 70° C, both GPU and CPU. What's the problem with my setup is that most of the times it's using 100% of the CPU and 70-80% of the GPU, causing some frame drops but still quite playable.
I wish I could upgrade it to something decent, good luck with your future build m8.

@OP / All ... guys my machine is a 2012 PC running an Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40GHz with 8 Gb Ram and a 64-bit operating system, x64 based processor and GTX 650 Graphics card... I run my AC Odyssey at custom set up ... highish graphics (60 Fps included) etc.. and all plays fine tbh ... I also ran GR Wildlands and TC The Division with no problems (Others too, look through my gamelist on my Profile) ... and yes.. my machine belongs in a Museum :P hope that helps some of you lower end guys ( like moi ) :) :ACODC_Arrow:

I played most of this game using a 2700K + 970 GTX with default settings and never felt the need to use a better computer..

First of all, i5 7300 is not a thing

Secondly, neither is an i5 9900
