Game wont launch at all...
Soo, this happend to Origins aswell...and is happening again on Odyssey, already used several hours just trying to get the game to start. Hopefully i wont need to refund this game aswell.

I boot up steam, try to launch the game. On the steam library it says "Running" then it dissapears and nothing happends...

I have tried moving the game from D folder to C, still nothing. I have tried verifying the cache.
and some other random stuff i found on google...anyone have any tips/idea how to get my game to bloody start.

CPU:intel core i7-4790k cpu 4.00ghz (It says AVX2, I'm assuming it supports AVX?,not that tech savvy)

I remember using half a day trying to solve the Origins problem, even wrote a ticket to ubisoft...but after a day or two of no soloution i just refunded the bloody game, I'm on the verge of doing the same with Odyssey even though the game looks fun.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hey there,

Please make sure you are running Steam, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and the Uplay client with {LINK REMOVED}

If this does not resolve your issue, please try reinstalling the game.

If you continue to experience issues after this, can you please create a case on the {LINK REMOVED}

Thanks.

Just an FYI - Admin rights are very special and windows employs UAC for a reason, no application should need to invoke admin rights to run in its normal operation, this has not been a thing since windows XP for good reason. Never give applications admin rights for no reason.

This may work cause it worked for me. If you have the game installed on a SSD, move to a HDD. This was the only solution that worked for me

Hi there!

I am sorry that the game does not run for you. Have you tried the troubleshooting steps suggested within this thread?

I'll join the party, my Assassins creed odyssey wont start as well. Or rather Ubisoft connect gives me a crash message that it just crashed.

I tried anything I could find on the internet. Running steam, UC and the game itself with admin rights, I reinstalled the game and ubisoft connect a dozen times, on my HDD, on my SSD, I disabled ingame overlay, cloud save. I tried out pretty much any combination of options. I removed the local savegame folder in case the mods corrupted my savefiles or something.

Whats really annoying is that the problem came overnight. I played the game it worked fine and the next morning it didnt work anymore. I'll admit that i used mods via resorep (just texture mods), I uninstalled all of it as well of course.

My drivers are all up tp date and I honestly are not in the mood do downgrade my GPU driver or reinstall my windows 10... Assassins Creed Origins works just fine, its just odyssey.

Bots and clowns run this company. That’s all there is to it. Never again - no matter the big title you forked money over to get, never tf again am I buying a game from this studio.
