Athenian Armor Textures Black?

I've noticed that the little pictures for the Athenian Bracers, Athenian Chestplate, Plated Greaves all have gold-like colors on them, but when I go to equip them, it's completely black on my character. Has anyone else had this happen to them or is it supposed to be like this?

thats the spartan helmet, but Ive also seen several others with black textures I was just coming here to find out if it was a bug myself.

Yeah, I've seen it mostly with the Athenian armor that has a brass/gold look to it in the little icon. But it also occurs with the War Mask, and my Athenian Breastplate has its colors switched. (the top is black and the bottom is gold, but the icon shows that the other way around)

I've got the same flat black texture for a lot of weapons and armour, appears to be mostly metal textures that are failing.
(Running GTX 970 with 411 latest drivers)

Since I've gotten further into the game, I've noticed that it has to do with rarity. For me, the common pieces are solid black and look like plastic, but if you get rare, epic, and legendary pieces, then they will have a metallic look to them. Maybe it's supposed to be this way, maybe it's not. Either way, that's how it is right now.

I'm 100% sure that's not how they designed it to be, it's flat, non-textured, rendering. Might it have something to do with them partnering with AMD instead of NVIDIA (god knows why) on this title ?

Either way, the above response from Ubisoft says it's being looked into though, so it's definitely not by design.
