If you turn off Exploration mode, will it look the same or does it give you more information?

Could you grab a screenshot or video showing exploration enabled and how it appears for you?

For exemple, a guy tell me to free his brother, I have on map his exact location of his cage and when I go there, I have the golden symbol on top of his cage in the game world. So the exploration mode is not working for me as I'm supposed to find things on my own.
As well as OP, it oddly worked only for the first quest : find the vineyard.
Just quickly try verifying the files, to make sure there's not some issue or corruption causing it. That can be done through the steps here
I don't think that will help, but just want to ensure we've done due diligence. Also please can you provide a screenshot that shows the quest marker on the screen?

And, by the way, the Exploration mode is quite limited, because it only works for some quests and not for all the quest steps. I like the idea, it's like in the game series Gothic, where all you have is your map of the world (without any dynamic markers) and your questlog, and you have to explore and learn the map. I hope more games do this in the future, but forced, not just as an option.
Did you ever figure that out?
For me, it randomly started working again about 4-5 hours later of game time while exploring Phokis. I'm not risking turning it back off and on again lol
Um, that screenshot right there indicates that Exploration mode is turned off. The exploration mode box isn't ticked.
It's confusing. When the box is ticked it changes to Guided. There's no option to check the box AND have exploration displayed.
