Discord lags while playing Odyssey

Whenever I'm playing this and using voicechat on discord at the same time, my internet connection quality drops considerably (Note: My internet is good), funny thing is, whenever I alt-tab to desktop, it picks up again. Any ideas of what might be causing this, or is there a way I can turn off some of the online features of this game?

Hey AutumnDaedalus. On discord, go to your user settings->interface there is a button called hardware acceleration. You can temporarily disable that button. Discord should run smoothly again. Another thing that can help is also also temporarily disabling any overlays or popups as well from Discord or other programs that can interfere.
