Game Wont run, Continous crashing

Hello all, just bought this game yesterday. Have done every "fix" i could find on internet to get it working. The game crashes to desktop after hitting start new game, occassionaly have made it past the first cut scene. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Not sure if you have watched this video yet but it offers some possible solutions. If you are on Windows 11 it is the problem as this game works perfectly fine on Windows 10 so keep that in mind as you try to solve the issue...its your OS not the game that needs the work arounds.

More like Microsoft wants you to sub to their Xbox live service...nothing about this game has changed in the last five years. It was a Windows patch that broke the game.

I had issues, the game crashed at cut scene where Alexios/Kassandra introduced. I looked what happening to my pc and found that ssd was spiking to 100% at same moment always. I had to move game to second sdd that I have.

If you are using 24H2 version of Windows 11 then you are screwed until Microsoft fixes it. Ubisoft was able to patch a couple of games for instance Origins but not this one. And Microsoft actually wonders why 60+% of PCs are still running Windows 10 and Windows 11 barely cracks 30%

You can try this .... Go into Ubisoft Connect and turn off the overlay and Cloud Saves

Then go to C:\Users\longjohn\Documents\Assassin's Creed Odyssey\cache\ And delete all the files in that folder. That is basically your shader cache so it will get rebuilt on next start up.

I've been having this problem for like a month. It's the Windows 11 24h2 update. I currently have some new Windows updates running, hope they fix it. I've tried every fix under the sun, and nothing.

Edit (33 minutes later): Still crashing
