Yes. You reveal Aspasia by killing all 8 sages. But you can only deal with her if all other cultists are dead. The conversation you will have with her wouldn't make much sense otherwise.
So ideologically speaking, the cult was similar to the Assassins -- with the major difference in that they worshipped the Isu, whereas the Assassins that came after them understood the Isu's true identity and therefore did not think of them as gods. And in fighting Greek corruption, the cult themselves became uncontrolled & corrupt due to their own success.
Aspasia was once their leader when it was still relatively sane, but lost control when radical factions kidnapped your sibling -- who has Isu blood -- and groomed them to become their chosen one. She then had a vision from the Isu shards, telling her that the next step would be to form a new group whose plan was to groom a new chosen one to become a 'Philosopher King' - a ruling figure who can control the world through power but also with wisdom - which is believed to be Alexander the Great. This group would evolve to become the same group Bayek / Aya encountered and was the precursor to the Templars.
Aspasia then met you and schemed to make you wipe out the cult so she can start fresh. Yes, she made questionable choices, was directly or indirectly responsible for many innocent slaughters, and she's kind of a megalomaniac. You're judging her based her character, her intent & her actions.
