AMD Ryzen 7 7700X temps running high

I have everything maxed except for the clouds. Whats considered too hot for this game? My cpu is sitting around 87-90 max and its not really a comfortable temperature to me, i can lower some settings but curious to know if others have experienced it.

what cooler do you use for your cpu? For ryzen 7000 is it normal to be at a higher temp due the small formfactor of the transistors. You could active AMD Eco Mode set on 65W, you will Lose 1-3% performance but your cpu will run on a lower temperature

I changed the bios settings by undervolting and temps are a bit better but right now its trial and error until i find a sweet spot

That CPU draws close to 120W on a small chiplet. How do you expect to be cooled better without a big heatsink? Simple solution is limiting the power draw to 100W and losing a few% of gaming performance. Or turn up the cooler fan or buy a bigger cooler. Btw, those temps are totally normal for the health of the CPU. I wouldn't bother at all.

Yes Ryzen get's hot all the time. The target temp under full performance is 95. It's ok but i also don't feel comfortable with it. Maybe tone down performance a little bit. Usually helps to get back to something around 70. First thing i usually do is 60FPS instead of 200 or whatever would happen without a limit and it's usually enough.
