Bonus starting gear despite no DLC installed?

I purchased the Gold Edition but only installed the base game so far. Despite having all DLC unchecked, I started the game with the Enzio's, Northern Traveler's, and Magnificant Mycenaean armor sets. Is this supposed to happen? Is there any way to start a new game without them?

I also have a bunch of swords and axes already in my inventory as well.

They are Ubi Club rewards, granted to every single player. It’s a loyalty thing, a thank you for buying the game kinda. They aren’t part of any DLC

Btw, what's the DLC labeled as "Uplay Activation" for?

There’s a bonus mission also that comes with these rewards, it’s from the UPlay thing.

you can just store them in the chest once you get a ship so they arent taking up inventory space or just there to annoy you
