I dont use any program at all, i just connect my Dualshock 4 to the PC with USB, and that's all. AC Odyssey has "total compatibility" with the controller ...
I have tried running it without the DS4windows and experienced similar issues, but I am connected using BT. Try adding the game to steam and let it manage the controller, this might help.
NO DS4Windows needed!
First go to C:\Users\(you)\Documents\Assassin's Creed Odyssey. (This is where you will find the Ini file. Edit/Open with a text editor)
- Option 1 - Wireless
(This will let you connect your PS4 pad but wont let you use your mouse/keyboard in game. May at time switch back and require you to do this from time to time)
1.Open ACOdyssey.ini in Notepad
2. Scroll down to input and change it to below:
[Input]
SelectedPad=Wireless Controller
KeyboardMouseEnabled=0
AutoSwitchEnabled=0
3.Save file and load game
- Option 2 - Wired
(This is the option I currently found and use and seem to work quite well, allow me to switch seamlessly from PS4 pad to mouse and keyboard anytime)
1.Following Step 1 and make sure Input setting are the same as below:
[Input]
SelectedPad=PS4 Controller
KeyboardMouseEnabled=1
AutoSwitchEnabled=1
2. I find that it work well wired so make sure you controller is plugged in with a wire.
This should resolve the issue, any questions let me know.
