I have no issues with their launcher, just need to download and install the version from Ubisoft and not the version Steam installs. No FSR or DLSS trickery so you need a fairly beefy system to get good frame rate.
Personally i like Odyssey but many others take issue with its rather generic story line (find your family members, save the world...how not original could they get).
Wait for it to go on sale. not worth full retail some six years after release.
Valhalla, Odyssey or Origins?
Origins seems like the cheapest of the three, though it is also said to be the shortest.
Valhalla is a mixed bag, it has a huge game world that can be very beautiful but it has the worst leveling system, perk tree and longest grind to get past the level gating (aka areas you cant do anything in in till a very high level).
I did not finish Valhalla and would not recommend it to anyone. Oh and Valhalla has more armor gear sets in its cash store than it does in game, worst of the AC games about $$$ store crap.
Thanks. I'll be sure to get it during the Spring Sale.
Though of course they also have different game-play features like sieges, controlling enemies to fight on your behalf etc....
I don't want to give away too much. You're better off checking them both out during the Spring Sale in March.

And the best part is that they do not require the infamous Ubisoft connect/launcher, since they're not Ubisoft games.
It's said to be a thrilling adventure, full of things to explore.
Plus, if you go for the Ultimate Edition of this game, you will get not only the base game and its DLCs but also some boosters and two additional games (Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered and its DLC Liberation) for around 28.74 euros, based on last year's Spring Sale event.
Overall, a good deal I guess.
Your choice.

It is a long game but personally a none issue for me, i hate short games.
One main issue i had was with hard crashes, to the point were the system would reboot and the GFX card fans would max out, this was due the Story Creator Mode and never had another issue with the game.
Played it though on 2 systems
Intel 3770
AMD 390X (8GB)
16GB
Currently
AMD 7700X
AMD RX6950
32GB
If you have an Nvidia GPU then just go into the Nvidia Control Panel and enable DLDSR 2.25X which will render the game at a higher resolution and then bring it back down to native which comes really close to what DLAA gives you.
The only downside is it is a "global" setting meaning it will be turned on for all games which can be a problem with more graphically intensive games like Cyberpunk 2077 and other Ray Tracing titles but it only takes a couple of minutes to enable or disable it
