Help - Caldera of Fate guidance

Hey.

Myrrine sent me here to find my father
I found the tablet
I unblocked ALL the obstructions to allow the sunbeam to hit all the mirrors thus opening the door
The problem?

THERE IS NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SUNBEAMS -arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhgggggggg!!!!!!!!!1

I have restored a previous save and started over
I have slept so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times I'll never need sleep again - ever

Still no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sunbeams

The MAIN mirror (the first one is facing the opposite direction of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sun and there is very, very cloudy skies so even if it faces the correct direction the sunbeam may never ge though anyways.

WTF is up with UBI soft and this crap quest line?

PLEASE HELP ME....? AND, at this point I couldn't care less about spoilers

I have been watching a Netflix show while I await a reply and I see the sun moving across the sky.
I can see now that if I wait long enough the sun will move into position and theoretically should create a beam of light that hits the first mirror.
So - instead of sleeping I should have just waited for what seems like it will be approx. 30-60 minutes for the sun to be in the correct position.

SIgh, what happened to sleeping hourly or in four hour chunks..why must it be a full 12 hours
FFS Ubi stop it with the in-game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - this is NOT a realistic game it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantasy - why try to make time pass realistically in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantasy game?

arg again. In the time it took me to type the above comment the thunderclouds have moved in - the game is plotting against me now .

Sun is now on the correct side of the sky (West) and facing the first mirror (due east) no clouds and no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sunbeam---sigh....

I can see the sun in the dam mirror now-but STILL no SunBeam - wtf?

It turned to night and no sun beam - I give up

You must be doing something wrong because I've done that quest a dozen times and never had a problem. There are several mirrors you have to line up and several crates you have to move and also 2 boarded areas that have to be broken with one at the very beginning and one at the end so the light hits the door.

I just did that quest again last night ..... The light source is NOT the sun and you can do it at night, in fact it's a bit easier to do at night because you can see where the light beams go easier and you just go to where the beam stops and either break a barrier, move a crate or move a mirror to make the light go to the next mirror

I found the mother just by fluke.

I have no clue how it happened but I clearly remember talking to Myrrine and she told me to go to the island for some reason and there WAS a quest available there (I think the door was marked when I tracked the quest, but I couldn't open it when I got there?), I thought it was to try and find my father.

Being bored of travelling around opening up travel points, I just jumped on my boat and went.
When I got there I went to the marked door and I can't remember exactly what was said, something about a way to open the door, so I sent my bird into the sky and I found the tablet and start following the instructions. I unblocked and/or moved all the mirrors but there was no light.

I gave up after my last post.

Since my last post, I have been opening up more travel points and killing bounty hunters and cultists (the ones I have opened up and haven't killed yet) and doing side quests when I travel around.

Then I thought, "I suppose I should do some more of the main story line". I am now doing quests that will lead me to find my mother :-)

I think I have to get more of the main story accomplished before I can do that side quest.

I am level 67 so I thought my level was more than high enough for that area...sigh

Yes you need to wait until Myrrine gives you the Quest called A Family's Legacy which will unlock the light puzzle ....
