2060 will average around 50-60 fps on this. Turn volumetric clouds all the way down as thats a real performance killer. If that doesn't work install msi afterburner and RTSS and monitor cpu and gpu usage and see if everything is being utilised properly also check for temp issues as parts could be throttling causing reduced performance
Did you try to lower it to 1080p? This game is high demanding. Even with my old rtx 2070. Game will drop to 50-40 fps. I got an rtx 3070 and i play at 1080p.

Maybe look in gpu control panel and set gpu power to preferred max.

Performance & optimization in this game is just bad. It doesn't even have ray tracing or look particularly good. Hell, the game doesn't even start or work right now lol.

I have one of the latest high end RTX cards. Even so, I get like 80 fps maxed out in this game. For contrast, I get around 200-300 fps in something like Resident Evil 3 or Shadow of the Tomb Raider without ray tracing.

It looks nowhere near as impressive as Cyberpunk 2077 maxed, yet I still get worse performance in Odyssey. On the card I had prior to this, Odyssey couldn't hold a stable 60fps either, even with low settings.

Seems normal for a 2060 in 1440p.
I average around 75 FPS on a 2080 and still have to turn some stuff down like volumetric fog.
And it may drop below 60 FPS here and there in Athens and in Atlantis in the DLC because those cities are gigantic.
Its just a very demanding game, no way around it.

I mean a 2060 really isnt that great, thats pretty much low end now. But this game isnt well optimized in general. Tips, lock fps at 50 if you want it to feel more smooth and less all over the place.

OR run at like 80% resolution scale.

I mean the game is unoptimized. Itll run fine for you yeah, but it should run better for what it is. It runs the same as the newest assassins creed, like literally the same lmao. I get about 60 fps on average (claims its 74 fps on average on the game) but its more like 60, dips to so far the lowest 53 at 1440p with 90% scaling. And settings at high/ultra.
With a 3060ti ryzen 7 4.5ghz 8core 3800x cpu.
My 3060 is also over clocked by 500mhz for memory, and 100mhz for core clock.
3600mhz 32gb ram
5gbps nvme

It doesnt run like terrible, its an okay optimized game, but okay optimization is still optimized to me. I forgive the low dips since its always in towns/cities but when in the open landscape you really should be getting more performance.

But ye, his 2060 is low end. And plus this game is more CPU intensive then most games. Generally thats how open world games are now, more cpu intensive then youd think.

But still if a game thats several years older than their most recent run, runs literally the same as their most recent one, something isnt optimized,

that's disappointing. the one thing ubi usually does right is optimization.

Its not like it is terrible, its mostly in the cities. And im pretty sure its cpu bound more so, cuz my gpu doesnt get to 100% usage in cities.
Its annoying,but w.e.

This game is badly optimized. I had a 1070 and went to a 2070ti and it ran better. Had a 2700x CPU and was able to run the game on High settings with 60fps but it had drops hear and there. If you want a decent FPS 60fps plus, upgrade the GPU.

I think its a lot more cpu bound. Gpu obviously helps, but this game has a ton of dense areas, if youre cpu is bad NO MATTER what gpu you have, youll prolly have "bad" fps

I have a AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics and it Runs fine now. pretty Solid 60 highest 75fps Ultra High.
Also Immortals Phoenix Rising is also a beautiful games and plays like a Zelda/Odyssey combine. Story is Cringe but the game itself is a lot of fun and interesting hidden Gem by Ubisoft

lol I beat the game all the way through. I said ♥♥♥♥ it. I bought the game I can at least play it. I loved it. But not every game is for everyone. I played games that people make a huge deal about and I end up the same, bored or just hating.
