I'm on the last island but don't see anything to loot. I have killed the chickens but again nothing to loot.. any suggestions ?

yeap same problem, i'm at the spot, no loot to be looted, just annoying chickens who attack me, leaving them alive, does not fix this, neither is killing them on site. i'm at a loss, all i can say is the first time i got there i got jumped by a merc, maybe that screwed me over somehow.

It's a dot, far away from the root, near a pile of leaves as i remember. I have to walk around the compound 3 to 4 times to find that small spot.

Or maybe you have accidentally pick it up after you loot the chickens.

In case anyone is still stuck on this, I was having this problem. I resolved it by running around to cover path evenly while spamming the loot button. It didn't indicate anything on the screen. Eventually I saw that the quest log was updated on the pause menu. Took me an extra 2-3 minutes.

I think the issue is with the UI and not the quest itself, meaning the item indicator isn't being shown and the loot notification isn't working. Not sure what would cause it to happen to only some people.
