No sense, no logic in DLC Legacy of the First Blade
Dear Ubisoft, did creators of DLC "Legacy of the First Blade" play main game of Assassin´s Creed: Odyssey?

Because it really looks like they didn´t play it. Whole theme of main game was family. Reunite your family, save all members and bring them together. And now you don´t even introduce them to your son? You don´t ask for their help? You don´t show them your son when you send him away forever? It denies everything you try to achieve in main game. And from our characters it is selfish and stupid. He/ She have home in Sparta, family and yet she start new home alone from family and mother he/she so fiercely try to find?

And you send your son with old Darius away? He was old when you met him. Now we are few years older and he is very old men. In time without good healthcare. It isn´t very likely that he will live long enough to bring up your son.
And why even send him away?
First of all: You can´t kill idea. Yes, it is more than likely that someone else will came up with same idea that peace could be establish only through dictatorship and taking away free will. But if you will kill all actual members of Orders who know about you and your son, child will be safe.
And also, you have strong family. Mother who fled her home, loose everything and she became leader of island state. Step father and step brother who are respected in Sparta military and can bring help from army. And sibling who is like demigod and can kill dozens of skilled fighters alone.
And many, many people in Greek world owe you favors, including influence people form military and politics from both sides, Athens and Sparta. With not much effort you could make your own state, or your own Order, have your own network of spies and protectors.

And do you know something about dating? Our character is skilled warrior and slept with many. Do you want us to believe that one dinner over roasted boar will make him/ her fall in love? Yes, this could be good and interesting concept, if you make such relationship which will be developing for many hours. In main game, or spin off game (like Far Cry Primal is spin off from Far Cry 4). You know, someone who will be spending lots of time with you, help you with missions, talk with you, make jokes, drink with you. Someone with whom you will spend more time together. Here you really have one dinner, then you were just fetcher for their quests and then bam – you are in love. It is like from kindergarten. Just try to play Witcher, or Dragon Age, or for God’s sake Assassin´s Creed: Unity to watch Arno and Elise fall in love.

This DLC doesn´t bring anything new (2 armors, 4 weapons), no mounts, no areas, no animals, no interactions, no items, even no dungeons, it only use what was in original game. Except dubbing it seems like fan created addon by game editor. So we expected at least good story, but it wasn´t delivered.
Main game was very good. So what has happened?

In my game my entire family was already dead except for my step dad and I had showed Marcos the door. But I would have been more attracted to Darius than his son.
It was a misguided attempt to provide a backstory for the bloodline and connect the game to Origins.
A better use of the DLC would have been to take a snippet of the 2400 years after the main story to set the stage for the bloodline.

That is problem with games in which there are more than one ending.
Developers need to follow them all if they want to be good. Or they don´t offer more endings, or they will ignore them. Here they should have follow all endings as I wrote before.

Yes, its a shame. It's kind of a lose lose. If you didn't want a baby, you are stuck with it anyway. If you did want the baby it has no bearing on the main story at all. It's like the whole legacy of the first blade never happened, as unfortunate as it is that it did. Even the new achievements aren't enough to motivate me to finish episode 3. Ah well...more Tombs to raid and Orcs and Uruks to kill!

there is a official canon story to this game which is delivered through the novel to the game, i have not read it so i dont know how the family stroy officially ends but probably the dlc only considers the ending of the novel assuming that the ending of the novel even fits to how the dlc handles it.

that theory could also explain why this dlc is like it is without mulitple endings, the dlcs story is not contained in the novel (i assume since we did not hear from anyone who read the novel about what happens with darius) so it needs to end in one way for canonical reasons which the main game did not need because the canonical ending is the ending from the novel.

its just a idea i had while reading through this discussion and i dont know if it is true, especially because i have not read the novel and dont know how it ends.

........if you finish First Blade DLC there's going to be zero mention of "Oh by the way mom, adoptive dad and siblings, I totally had a family of my own and you were a grandmother/grandpa/aunt/uncle". etc. There's zero continuity within all of the main quests. Even between the Family and Atlantis main quests Myrinne ties them in by saying things like "You should see your father and learn more about him" and "Your blood is important" etc, etc. Vice versa, if you beat the Family/Atlantis Quests and then do the First Blade DLC, there's zero mention of your mom, adoptive dad, siblings, etc and they're not involved in any capacity (I think they would be excited to see a baby Kass/Alexios after all). Seeing as both Myrrine and Deimos carry the Blood that the Order is so hell bent on destroying, you'd figure they'd go after them too.

If by some miracle of Zeus they fix that, then my issue with the DLC will go away. The lack of continuity really takes me out of it and because of it I rate it as "average" instead of what it could be.
This is from my post about this DLC.... this is perfect description of the problem with this DLC....

I really would love to see some continuity between main story and this DLC.... it seems like this DLC was made by another team of newbies who didn´t play main story of the main game. And you can see many "machine" moves... like it was done very quickly.... Some cut-scenes even don´t have motion capture and moves are done only by mouse.... This DLC is good, but that big incontinuity with main story is horrible.

By canon only Deimos/ Alexios is dead.
Even if family is dead, it doesn´t change anything else what I was writing. Generals, Kings, politicians, pirates still owes you favors, still you can kill everyone who know about your heritage and is with Order and everything else I have write. And love still doesn´t happened like they showed it.

But if only one ending of all is "canon", then why even bother to make more endings? It can basically be advertised as "You can play as you want, it still doesn´t change a thing".

This whole DLC story was like a bad "fanfiction" written by some lore obsessed fanboy.

" Wouldnt it be totally awesome if Alexios/Kassandra is related to Aya?!! And lets bring in Darius the wielder of the first blade! That will be so cool! Oh and give him a child so our hardened mercenary protagonist can fall in love with them in 5 minutes, like in Twilight!!
And then at the end our main character, whose whole character arc was about family, will give his/her child away to some old guy to live in another country! That will be so great!"

Something like that.

So much this. I never ever showed interest in Tanakus-Takanus-what's his name... really a bland and uninteresting guy, that I never hug nor kissed let alone f****d. I told him to leave and never return. Then BAM, next scene I have a baby with him? Who was in charge for writing the choices in this game, some guy from Telltale?

Yes the whole DLC felt very rushed and poorly written. most events in the story happen "because reasons" and none of it really has any impact. Our character cares about events not because we care but because the game demanded that they care.
