So novels are very often just fan fiction but i heard ac actually made kassandra the canon hero is that true?The next ac character will also feature a canon female protagonist so why adding the choice in the beginning when the character doesn’t even exist.....

They offer options because options are good, nobody wants to be forced to play one sex over the other if they can choose. 'Canon' in video games is just a tool for building sequels, your personal canon is whichever character you play and whichever actions you take. This is a video game, not a movie.

Most of the time games are canon and the novels are just fan fiction if the games are first and yes this effects the story too bc games are media too but they are not movies that’s true

If you can stand kas's monotone yelling at crew everytime you get in a ship then she is the gal for you, beside that the voice acting is good.
The story is legit either sex and works either way. The use of the word canon in this topic just equates to gender diversity BS that that hardly matters now with a pandemic changing the world at a rapid rate. Soon it wont be about diversity and equality it will be about who is of use or who can create jobs, gender age and race be damned.
