Game freezes randomly.

Anyone else getting the game freezing?.. Everything works fine 60fps blah blah just at times the game freezes and having to end task to get out the game :S?

All drivers are up to date and have restarted pc and cleaned up any ♥♥♥♥♥♥ files i may have. So am not sure whats going on but it seems to have started doing this since patch 1.03

I7 5960X
64GB DDR4 3200Mhz ram
GTX 1080TI (SLI) but i switched it off, Was causing me trouble.

Yes, i got that too, sometimes 4 hours not a single glitch, sometimes freeze 5 minutes in.

The 1.0.3 patch improved a bit, but still freezes, just less. I just finished an 8 hour session without a glitch. It is random.

I also get random freezes, and it started after finishing Fokida main quests and before going to Andros. Had average 60-100 fps, now it freezes just randomly.
I5, 3.1ghz, 8gb ram, gtx 1080ti

Ah right cheers guys i thought it might be a problem with my pc but if others are having the same issue can hope for a fix later down the line. Thank god i auto save like i did in skyrim lol :)

Getting freezing and crashing to desktop often now. I've reset the overclocks on my GPU and CPU and it's still crashing. I can't find any error messages, so I can't troubleshoot.

I've had the game crash about 6 times in total now, in a bit over 90 hours, but today it's been worse than usual. Before, I could easily pin down a cause, such as opening a particular section of the menu, or a cutscene trigger, but I had two seemingly random crashes within a couple hours earlier today. The only similarity between them I could see was that I think I uncovered a new portion of a region each time it crashed. Overall, it's not game breaking so far, but Odyssey is definitely not quite as polished or stable as Origins was, unfortunately.

Yeah i had 3 crashes today and now merc's arn't attacking me on full bounty and they are dropping no loot if i hunt the none aggressive mercs, Dunno what the hell is going on with this game since last reset :-/.

i got this too, also 1 time some weird sound stutter and spikes for like 3-4 sec or so( but happened only once so i don't think its a hardware problem ) the image freezes and i have to end the task aswell ( happened 2 or 3 times in 30 hours - moslty when i used an ability to finish the enemy ) so looks like its a game related since i can pass any stress-test / benchmark w/o any problmes

I don't know if it related, but while playing this game I got frequent BSOD's, whereas I played through Far Cry Primal after beating this one, without a single freeze.

Edit: funny thing is, the BSOD didn't even necessarily happen during performance heavy events, but often during conversations, or when I Escaped to the menu and left the computer for some minutes.

I had a lot issues these days with this game. Specially crashes and now have issue to start a game after crashes. Right now reinstalling this game. :(

To all the ones asking/talking about Crashes, Crashes and Freezing are NOT the same issue.

If your Game Crashes it closes to desktop or goes white with an ERROR Message.

When the game Freezes NONE of that Happens.

When your game freezes does Music or any sound still play normally and loop in the Background?

That is what's happening to me.

Sometimes it does freeze after a few Minutes, after a few hours, or not at all.

I get game freezing and crashes. Mostly the game is crashing now, every 5 min or so. Just started happening after patch 1.1.3, before that had 40hrs without a single crash. Got to the stage now where i have given up trying to play it.

It's probably a memory sink issue, a bug that overloads RAM at certain times

I've heard that the clouds and fog in the game are causing a lot of people's issues to freezes, low fps, and crashes, so you might want to lower those settings and try playing. Idk if it will help at all, but it's worth a shot.

My game has started freezing every 10 min or so while I'm on the ship. I'm also getting weird flashes of light (no NOT the rain/lightning in the game) and random picture distortion.

While on land, it seems fine.
