Finding clues to the cult of kosmos

Do you only find these by exploring or is there a method of finding them?
I know each cult member might have clues as to where to find info but i still cant find ones im looking for.

some of them requries you to do side quests or other things in specific areas to find, others are found during the main quests and some requrie you to loot a specific place, once the cultist is not a question mark anymore you should see a hint on how to find him when you click on him in the culitst menue.

If you want to complete the game, then yes.

If you like exploring and completing side activities a lot, you may find yourself randomly slaughtering and then end up killing a member of the cult lol. This has happened to me at least thrice already

Keep clearing every location you might find a clue or if you're lucky the cult itself. also I found one clue by buying a certain item from blacksmith.

yes, the old banners wich u can buy sometimes for 50 gold, it gives u a hint for a cultist, and no, u dont have to do missions to get them revealed, just go and kill everything that moves ...

There is literally ONE cultist that has that requirement, no more than that.

If you hover mouse over the cultists you haven't located it will give you a hint how to get that cultists data

each cultist has a clue on where to find the identy of them, just click on one and itll say something like "help the people in ---" or clue is in a cave in ---- cultist boat crashed off the shore of -----

Thanks for the advice, also one more question; do you not get a complete armor set from eliminating a sect of cultists? I noticed you get pants, boots and chest armour with a weapon but no greaves in the left middle group of cult members.
