Failed to synchronize cloud saves
Anyone else having this issue just within the past hour? Can't get into the game due to this error.

Same, I pressed skip and see my save file is still intact... I do not want to mess with anything so I am not sure what to do, really don't want my save file corrupted...

I've went ahead and copied the save file directory to my desktop just in case. I'm going to wait a while to before I try logging in again. It seems Uplay is having issues right now for at least several people so it must be some sort of error in the server trying to retrieve information. That's just a guess though.

Yeah I did the same thing, at least I think I did... You copied the 5092 folder onto your desktop, correct?

The save directory is located in here C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
Just copy the "savegames" folder somewhere. Make sure it's a copy and not a move to.

I solved.

I started the game on uplay, not steam.

He gave me two options:

the first: save game locally
the second: save the game in the cloud

Something like that. I do not remember perfectly how it was

I chose the first, locally.

The game started and when it quits synchronized normally.

I hope it was clear.

Happening to me as well. Even while starting it up from Uplay, it still keeps saying "failed to sync"

so I was having the same problem, and I saw that all my Uplay levels had gone back down to 0.
So I decided to log out of my Uplay account and I started the game without login in
And now every thing works
no more problems, no more sinc problems, and all my levels are back to normal, so maybe the solution is simply to log out, at least that's what worked for me

I don't know whether my answer can help you.But it worked for me. I reset my pc and reinstalled AC Odyssey. During sync of cloud saves,I got the error. I contacted customer support and they gave some random solution. It was my 220 hours of gameplay. And I used my mobile internet and cloud saves synched just fine. BTW my internet connection is way faster than my mobile internet. Don't know how it worked. But it did.
