Is it just me or alot of the world is "copy pasted"?
I mean I've got almost everything that can be done in this game, and most of the game assests are just copy pasted. Sure there're *some* varaity of caves, buildings, camps (maybe 30 top), but other that then I can recall seeing the cave I enter already before or the camp I just killed everyone, or even most of the towns buildings, like they made 30 unique versions of each and than just spread it all across the "big" 260km world where everything is pretty much the same.
I mean good for ubisoft for creating a huge open world game but everywhere I go I feel I already visited the place because that's is the case pretty much.

Problem for me it's not a feeling. I just can remember a cave I've aleady been too and seeing it for the 10th time. Or the same city with the same buildings just rotated differently, or the same camp just with more bandits in it

It's not so much copy paste as it is trying to fill the world with content. In creating such a massive world, they had to cut corners somewhere and reuse assets, but the bigger more notable areas aren't similar in the slightest (Minus the temples that look exactly alike except for banners.)

That's the problem with open world game todays, developer count square meter of the map instead of good content inside the map itself. I was too enjoying my first 20 hours of the game saying it's a good open world game, but after that I've couldnt turn an eye on how much of the assets are overused. I prefer 50 km game filled with original content than 260 km wide open world game filled with maximum of 30 unique instances of caves/camps/what ever and telling me it's a good open world. Not to mention most of the game is filled with water, that's what helped them the most with "cutting corners" to achieve "huge" open world game of 260km wide.

most likely they have cave parts they can put together in different variation like bethesda has it for example, it is more efficient then hand craft each and every cave which is very time consuming, especially when you build a world that big.

I think the outworld is remarkably well made, especially given its colossal size.

What's bad though? For example, all tombs I've seen so far. My goodness how terrible they are when compared to some of the earlier installments of AC or other industry leaders like new Tomb Raider games. I'd literally rather play Pacman than suffer through another adventure through boxy hallways with snakes and spike traps and little else to finally get the actual reward in form of a skill point.

Caves also show signs of copy paste syndrome, which clashes with far more natural feeling outworld.

Well it's like that in every open world. They are not gonna make 300 differents buildings or camps

i agree with you. i felt origins had much more diverse set up assets than odyssey. especially in the architecture department. there were fully fleshed greek cities, roman cities, egyptian cities, plus lots of rural-type architecture. most of the cities here do feel the same. maybe thats byproduct of greece being pretty homogenous?
