a person's true character? just being rational is now considered a crime?
Yup - and you just entered its records with your toxicity. Also, Odyssey is half myths, half reality, as those are the only things we can base our assumptions on how it looked like. That, and a ton of historical remains , but oh well.
Well, you have to keep things in context with regards to Kassandra. AC:O is essentially a fantasy, game, as you're living the digital memories of your ancestors, all the while trying to defend humanity from a secret organization that wants to control the world with First Civilization technology. Oh, and there are mythological monsters to fight. :) In that context, it shoudn't be seen as out of place, or inappropriate for female Spartan warriors to exist. Initially it's kind of... odd, but once you realize it in context to the rest of the game, it ain't no thing. I mean, ask yourself - is a female Spartan fighter really any more ridiculous than, say, fighting gods and mythological creatures in a franchise that is largely centered around history?
Also Kassandra being trained? Women couldn't go into the Agoge, that has nothing to do with home training.
We saw that historical accuracy isn't there even when its Alexios. If it was he'd be at the Agoge being trained. But he isn't. He's being trained at home.
Women had to be trained. They needed to be strong to give birth to strong warrior men. Now they didn't go to Agoge but they couldn't be weak. Weak parents mean weak child. Weak children get killed in the Agoge or abandoned. That's the Spartan way.
So Kassandra being trained isn't bad if you look at how she was trained if you're looking at historical accuracy that is.
And looking at historical accuracy Alexios being trained at home is where its lost. He's a Spartan boy who's older than 7, he should be at the Agoge.
What are you basing your opinions about women that can't go into agoge though. I'm happy to read it.
Doesn't mean there were no women warriors.
Remember we're talking about 500 BC. Not 2000 where everyone knows equality matters. This was before debates of equality. Even though Sparta had the most free women in the past.
Oh joy, lets hear the same mysog... eh i mean sexi... i mean... rational arguments again.
Proceed.
"There were no recorded instances" yet we have a book from a man that was born 400 years before the time of the game, and has a massive book and hundreds of stories about his workings as well as a couple billion followers.
History is fleeting at best. People only remember what they want. Why would a bunch of old rich men write about a woman being better than they are.
But there's another post so i'm using another arguement.
